Blu on the Water is a highly regarded restaurant on the island located approximately 10 minutes south east of Georgetown. Chef Ty has brought his contemporary blends from South Florida and illuminated the local food scene with variations of customary island and Asian dishes. The restaurant is situated on a hill and is equipped with lounge areas throughout, providing beautiful views of the distant turquoise oceans and sandbars.

Tropic Breeze Bar and Grill

Located on Little Exuma, this restaurant and bar is approximately 20 minutes from Georgetown and is well worth the drive. Tropic Breeze is situated on a beach with endless ocean views. Enjoy all types of seafood cooked to perfection in a covered patio with the sounds of the waves coming in off the beach in the background.

Santanna’s Bar and Grill

Santanna’s is a staple of every Exuma trip and should be visited at least once. Located a few minutes south of Tropic Breeze and approximately 25 minutes from Georgetown, this patio is situated directly beside the ocean. Santanna’s has all types of fresh seafood with fairly large serving sizes, justifying their slightly higher than average prices. Sharks and stingrays also frequent this beach, which is a great sight to see while waiting for your food and socializing with others on the always busy patio.

Additionally, there is a bakery next door named “Mom’s Bakery”. They are one of the best bakery’s on the island and is perfect for baked goods and take away deserts after your meal at Santanna’s

Driftwood is one of our favourite locations for breakfast and lunch on Exuma. Centrally located in Georgetown, it is an ideal spot to stop while doing errands, waiting for your boat to Stocking Island, or simply exploring downtown Georgetown. The chefs and staff here are known for being extremely friendly. Additionally, they have a covered private patio, lush with plants, which makes for an unforgettable experience.

Fish Fry Shacks

The Fish Fry Shacks, located approximately 5 minutes north of Georgetown, is a collection of approximately 5-10 restaurants located directly on the ocean. You can either sit in at some of the locations that have indoor dining, or grab your fish to go and sit by the beach in the sun.

The Fish Fry typically gets very busy on Friday and Sunday nights, but that doesn’t mean you can’t go other days of the week. Additionally, if you go one of these nights, there tends do be karaoke as well!

Chat ‘n’ Chill

Chat ‘n’ Chill is likely the most iconic place in Exuma. Located on Stocking Island, it is a brief water taxi away from Georgetown (service from the Government Docks). Around Chat ‘n’ Chill, there is everything to keep you and your guests entertained and fed for a full day spent here. Within walking distance you have: beach volley ball courts, string rays, conch salad bar, souvenir shop, snorkelling, swimming holes, and lounge areas.

Sunday is typically the day that locals and tourists visit Chat ‘n’ Chill for the weekly Pig Roast, but almost any day at Chat ‘n’ Chill is likely to be busy and fun.

Splash Bar and Grill

Splash Bar and Grill is located at the Palm Bay Beach Club, which is approximately 15 minutes from the Exuma International Airport and approximately 5 minutes from Georgetown. This bar is located adjacent to Jolly Hall, one of the most popular beaches in the area. One of Splash Bar’s key features is the central bar area, which is fitted with 7 swings for use while you enjoy your Kaliks and other local drinks.

The Rusty Anchor is an upscale restaurant located in the gated community of February Point, just south of Georgetown. Choppy’s is located downtown Georgetown by the Exuma Yacht Club Docks. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating with endless views of the yacht/sailing docks as well as Elizabeth Harbour. Choppy’s is known for being one of the locals favourites sushi spots. If you show up to Choppy’s on the weekend, you will also be treated to local live music!
